Local Training for Labour Women
In addition to our regular programme of courses, we are able to provide training tailored to the needs of local groups of Labour women. This can be targeted at specific groups of women (e.g., new members, council candidates, new councillors), or be developed around a specific activity (e.g., setting up a women's forum, campaigning, confidence-building). We have a series of modules, from which you are asked to choose when completing the online form (see link in the panel to the right and below), and these can be combined and added to to suit your requirements.
We do not charge for this service, except to ask you to cover the LWN Trainer's expenses. However, we do require that all women attending the training join LWN if they are not already members. This is because our members are our primary source of funding, and we cannot afford to provide our services entirely free.
All our Trainers are volunteers, and have themselves been trained to deliver our courses.
We
ask you to provide the venue, refreshments, and at least 6 women
participants. We then provide the trainer, the training, and all
materials.
If you would like to discuss what we might be able to do for you locally, you first need to complete our online form. We will then get back to you to discuss the possibilities. Because we are a voluntary organisation we are not always able to do exactly the dates you want, but we do our best to accommodate you.
